Four predictions for the brand new EPL season

After a two months break with this particular duration tipped by pundits to be most exciting in recent times due to some factors, the new English Premier League season kicks off in less than two hours, here are some predictions for the 2014/2015 EPL.

Arsene Wenger to eventually stop title drought- who would have thought Arsenal would go without winning the title after their mesmersing unbeaten run in 2004. That team captained by the infamous Patrick Vieira was just one of the best of the modern era.

Former midfielder Ray Parlour who was part of the 'invincibles' said this team that was present is the closest to the 2004 team when it comes to coherence and quality.

The gunners team have been able to repair their defensive problems and with everybody fit, have some of the best forward line in the league, as signaled at the FA Community shield game against Chelsea.

Team's all time best, Thierry Henry believes the north London side still want someone in the mould of Karim Benzema, a striker distinct from Olivier Giroud to eventually stop the drought but in my opinion Theo Walcott could be that man.

Alexis Sanchez, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Santi Cazorla and Mesut Ozil, all these are players that could always create that additional spark that can lead to success in matches.

I really believe this is the season that it all comes together for Arsene Wenger as he lifts the EPL title in May and stop a long wait for Arsenal supporters.

Looking at the Chelsea team that is present, it's obvious to see why the former Real Madrid manager would find it almost impossible to really go through another title winning campaign.

Injury concerns regarding top striker Diego Costa, Radamel's Falcao's inability to hit the ground running in his second season in England and an ageing backline all could prove crucial for the west London side.

Which is very unlike him in recent times, Mourinho has been inactive in this year's transfer window with Falcao being the only major add-on but the question remain will the present side still have the exact same hunger, want and drive as last season, my response is, no.

City to axe Pellegrini- Many, just like me thought Manchester City manager would get the boot after last season's dismal performance at the Etihad.

The Chilean was out of contention for the title by December and also removed out the UEFA Champions league, for such tremendous investments at the club, we could be excused for assuming he'd be dismissed at the end of last period, a month later.

It is no secret that City owners' ultimate ambition would be to have Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola at the helm and it's hard to see him if the Blues fail to do well again, even if Pellegrini recently signed a contract extension.

Rodgers to prove doubters wrong-

If the former Swansea boss has any want to hold onto his job following this season then he's a difficult task of impressing both his American owners and the Merseyside faithful.

Watford, the surprise package- it's a known fact there'll be a promoted team from the Championship that surprises the large, traditional teams with solid displays that keeps them on their toes.

This year, I believe that team would be Watford, have saw play in the 2nd tier last period and I was impressed and in Odion Ighalo, they have got a striker which could net as many as 20 goals if suit throughout the season.
